Overview

As Senior Category Manager for Europe, you translate global brand strategy into regional category priorities to boost portfolio performance and hero product growth. You lead two Category Managers and a shared Category Analyst to deliver integrated EU marketing plans across Colour, Complexion, Skincare and Fragrance. You shape category visions, evaluate NPD opportunities, and align with global partners to ensure a coherent regional product offer. This role combines strategic leadership with cross‑functional execution in a fast‑paced, creative beauty environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated EU product marketing plans aligned with Retail and gross sales and commercial priorities
  • Lead Category Managers to define category visions, growth plans, and portfolio architecture
  • Consolidate category recommendations and align priorities with Head of Marketing EU and global partners
  • Manage cross-category NPD and promotional prioritisation with commercial and global teams
  • Coordinate cross-category launch and promotional planning and resolve competing priorities
  • Oversee portfolio and lifecycle performance, optimise availability with Supply Chain
  • Develop differentiated channel portfolio priorities across Specialty, Department Stores and Online/Pure Players
  • Review pricing ladders and lifecycle recommendations with Head of Marketing EU
  • Use market and portfolio analysis to identify growth opportunities and partner with Global NPD
  • Lead, coach and develop Category Managers and the shared Category Analyst
  • Partner with Go-To-Market, VM, Sales, REOPS and Communications for launch readiness and execution
  • Lead, coach and develop direct reports and align cross-team priorities

Key requirements

  • Demonstrable marketing experience, preferably in beauty, with category ownership
  • Strong strategic and commercial thinking with ability to translate global strategy to regional plans
  • Excellent cross‑category prioritisation, analytical capability, and stakeholder influence
  • People leadership with ability to empower and develop high performing teams
  • Strong collaboration, agility, results‑driven mindset, and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and ability to translate insight into action
  • Knowledge of European markets is favorable
