Overview

As the technical lead for the Command & Control subsystem within MBDAs DragonFire LDEW initiative, you will direct a multi-disciplinary CAT to shape the C2 architecture and ensure integration with ship systems. You will drive requirements capture, trade studies, and risk mitigation to deliver a fit-for-purpose MDC C2/EMS on schedule. You’ll partner with systems, software, and safety teams to lay foundations for future LDEW designs. This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role in a critical national defence program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and technical leadership of the multi-functional CAT, including activity tracking and reporting
  • Lead capture and refinement of subsystem requirements for the Command & Control subsystem
  • Collaborate with the CAT to deliver the C2 subsystem functional architecture
  • Identify and mitigate functional risks, opportunities, issues and assumptions
  • Conduct trade studies and analyses to ensure timely delivery of a fit-for-purpose C2/EMS for DragonFire MDC

  • Experience across the systems engineering / product development lifecycle with focus on delivery

  • Knowledge of system engineering processes and tools (IBM Rhapsody, IBM DOORS, IBM Engineering Workflow Management)
