Overview

In this AI & Data Practitioner role, you will lead and deliver data management initiatives for client projects within Deloitte’s AI & Data team. You’ll design robust data solutions, govern data assets, and build scalable data platforms across cloud environments. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into technical strategies and mentor junior professionals. The role offers exposure to high-profile AI & data transformations and a strong focus on development and impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver data management initiatives on client projects
• Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and deliver data solutions
• Design, develop, and implement complex data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytical solutions
• Architect robust data platforms using cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Translate business problems into technical requirements and data strategies
• Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions
• Communicate project progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders
• Mentor junior data professionals and foster their skills
• Stay updated with industry trends and identify opportunities to apply new tools
• Contribute to business development through proposal design and thought leadership

Key requirements

• Good understanding of data concepts: data modelling, data management, data quality, master data management, reference data, reporting and visualisation, AI
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to tell a compelling data-driven story with visualisations
• Independent, strategic thinker with focus on delivering high-quality solutions
• Exceptional time management across client work, practice development, and business development
• Experience in Agile delivery environments; project and programme management
• Programming skills in SQL, Python or similar; data manipulation and scripting
• Proficiency with SQL and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop); ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and automated data workflows
• Familiarity with dimensional and relational data modelling and data architecture
