Medical Devices Mechanical Engineer

Overview

In this role you contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge medical devices, working within a multidisciplinary design team to deliver safe, reliable products. You will leverage your experience to ensure successful product development while collaborating across engineering and design functions. A strong track record in medical device design is essential, with electro-medical knowledge preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• design and develop mechanical aspects of medical devices
• collaborate with industrial design, human factors, electronics, and physics teams
• ensure product compliance and reliability throughout the development lifecycle
• contribute to cross-functional problem-solving and design reviews
• support transitions to manufacturing and regulatory readiness

Key requirements

• proven track record in design and development of medical devices
• experience in electro-mechanical technologies preferred but not required
• degree in engineering, design or electronics (or equivalent electro-medical design experience)
• willingness to join a permanent, full-time role in Cambridge
