Overview

In this role you will provide strategic PM leadership on a high-value central London development, guiding a team through early design and mobilisation. You will shape governance, procurement and risk management while collaborating with senior client stakeholders. This is a chance to influence a £500m+ programme from design to delivery, and to drive cross-functional coordination across consultants and design teams. You will report to the Client Director and help maintain a high-performing, transparent project environment. The opportunity combines leadership, strategic oversight and front-line delivery on a landmark scheme.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across a large-scale development
  • Lead and develop the project management team (~5 PMs)
  • Support appointment and mobilisation of design and consultant teams
  • Establish robust governance, reporting and decision-making processes
  • Oversee programme, risk, procurement, commercial performance and stakeholder management
  • Act as a senior client and project team contact
  • Challenge consultants and contractors to meet outcomes and protect the programme
  • Maintain clear and transparent reporting throughout the project
  • Ensure procurement decisions and expenditure meet high accountability standards
  • Identify and resolve strategic risks before delivery impacts occur
  • Support the project director and peers in board-level reporting

Key requirements

  • Significant experience at Associate Director or equivalent level
  • Proven track record delivering projects valued at £100m–£150m+
  • Experience with or alongside major developer, investor, development manager or client-side organisations
  • Strong knowledge of major commercial, mixed-use or complex central London developments
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary design and consultant teams in early project stages
  • Excellent understanding of governance, procurement, programme management and risk
  • Ability to lead and motivate an established PM team with a one team ethos
  • Strong commercial experience and capability to advise senior client stakeholders
  • Experience working in a transparent and scrutinised procurement environment
