QA Engineer – Fintech Selenium Java

Overview

In this role you will help ensure quality for a fast-growing fintech product by shaping test strategies across agile teams. You will work closely with product, support, and cross-functional partners to define quality, plan tests, and measure readiness for deployment. This greenfield effort involves collaboration on a mobile application while building robust QA processes. You will drive both automated and thoughtful manual testing to balance speed with reliability in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Test within Agile scrum/kanban teams
• Plan and execute testing around product stories and bugs
• Participate in sprint standups, demos, and retrospectives
• Create and maintain QA documentation: test plan, test scenarios, checklists
• Collaborate with Product and Support to determine quality targets (reliability, usability, performance)
• Measure and record quality to determine feature readiness for release
• Define and implement regression testing strategy
• Pursue automated testing while applying manual testing as needed
• Investigate quality-related customer complaints with support
• Ensure product requirements cover quality

Key requirements

• At least 2 years of software testing
• Selenium
• Java
• Organized with strong attention to detail and communication
• Quality inspection, planning, execution, and recording experience
• Regression testing planning and execution
• Strong mobile and desktop user skills
• Knowledge of QA tools, concepts, and methodologies
• Ability to choose appropriate QA techniques
