Placement Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this 12-month placement, you will rotate through design and construction teams within the Severn Trent Water framework to gain hands-on experience on real-world water projects. You will work with experienced mechanical engineers both on-site and in the office, tackling design, planning, installation and maintenance tasks. You’ll develop mechanical design and system analysis skills while contributing to safe, efficient operations. This is a community-focused role that supports your professional growth and may lead to a permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with mechanical engineers on site and in the office to gain practical experience
• Contribute to water and wastewater projects from design through to installation and maintenance
• Develop mechanical design, system analysis and problem-solving capabilities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines across projects
• Travel around the Severn Trent region as part of project work

Key requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (full-time)
