As Principal Civil Engineer at Skanska Technology, you will lead the technical design delivery for a portfolio of civil and structural projects, collaborating with construction teams across nationwide sites. Responsibilities

• Prepare outline and detailed civil/structural design, calculations, reports, drawings and deliverables per design standards
• Manage planning, direction and control of tasks, people and resources to meet time and cost targets
• Prepare and control project budgets with commercial and contractual awareness
• Lead and guide a team, developing staff to meet technical and managerial needs
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and the supply chain to refine project objectives

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or suitable alternative qualification
• Chartered membership of an appropriate professional body
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK Industry Codes of Practice; ability to mentor and manage
• Experience in structural design using common building materials
• Technical design and management experience on multi-disciplinary projects
• UK/EEC driving licence
