Overview
In this Staff Product Analyst role, you will partner with Grafana’s AI organization to define success metrics and shape analytics that guide AI-powered product decisions. You’ll collaborate across Product, Design, Engineering, and Data teams to instrument data, run experiments, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. You’ll help scale product analytics practices as the company grows and support initiatives like Grafana Assistant, Investigations, and Sigil. This is a strategic, cross-functional role at a remote-first company with a strong open culture and emphasis on impact.

Responsibilities
- Establish top-level KPIs, dashboards, and roadmap alignment with cross-functional Product teams
- Define success metrics for AI-powered features including adoption, engagement, quality, retention, and outcomes
- Instrument product data with Design, PM, and Engineering to enable reliable analysis of AI features
- Design, evaluate, and interpret experiments to assess AI capabilities and influence product decisions
- Develop dbt models to transform and test user behavior data with Analytics Engineering
- Influence best practices for Product Analytics across teams and define scalable standards
- Contribute to long-term vision and strategy for Product Analytics balancing near-term needs with durable solutions
Key requirements
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering and familiarity with KPIs and frameworks (DAU/MAU, funnels, A/B testing)
- Experience defining and tracking success metrics for complex product areas, including AI-powered features
- Proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis
- Data Visualization experience with Tableau, Looker, Omni, Hex, or Grafana
- Experience writing dbt models and using Product Analytics tooling (Heap, Pendo, Amplitude, FullStory) and Git
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools to prototype and iterate
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences
