Overview

In this role you will join a nationally recognised real estate finance team in Bournemouth, focusing on property-backed lending across commercial, residential and development funding. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers to handle transactions from day one, building practical, client-focused advice for lenders, borrowers and investors. The position offers structured mentoring and a clear progression path within a long-established firm known for its collaborative, supportive culture. Responsibilities

  • Advise lender and borrower clients on commercial funding and property security
  • Manage a caseload of secured lending transactions across diverse property types
  • Draft and negotiate finance documents for quality deals
  • Advise on planning and security considerations in property-backed finance
  • Oversee post-completion loan management including consents and security amendments
  • Act as a key client contact, building relationships and identifying value-add opportunities

Key requirements

  • NQ to 3 years PQE
  • Previous experience in residential and/or commercial property matters
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
  • Commercial, solutions-led mindset with client-focused approach
  • Confidence in building and maintaining client relationships
  • Proactive team player with initiative and responsibility
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage busy caseload
