Digital Asset Management Service Manager

Overview

In this fixed-term, full-time role, you will lead the development of a sustainable digital asset management (DAM) service to support Bodleian Libraries expanding digital collections. You will shape workflows, governance, and standards, support the DAM system implementation, and drive adoption across teams. You will develop a roadmap for continuous improvement and collaborate with colleagues to transform how digital assets are managed, preserved, discovered and reused. This is an opportunity to influence modernization and cross-library collaboration, with a strong user-focused focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a sustainable DAM service and user-focused governance
• Support the implementation of the new DAM system and integration with workflows
• Shape standards and governance for digital collections
• Drive organizational adoption and change management across teams
• Develop a roadmap for continuous improvement of the DAM service

Key requirements

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience of running a DAM system
• Understanding of digital collection management, preservation, metadata and data standards
• Experience delivering digital transformation
• Excellent communicator with ability to work across teams and manage change
