Key Duties

Working within the Product Development Team and reporting to the Head of Product, you will:

• Support in the development of new and innovative products, working with the Product Developer and Garment Technologist in producing detailed Technical Packs
• Assist the Product Developer in setting up new Tech Packs to include the Product Developer’s design drawings, design measurements, and seam and stitch information
• Complete the Bill of Materials within the Tech Pack, noting all fabric and trim references, colour codes, as well as packaging and label information as supplied by the product team
• Take ownership of the in-house Ambela fabric, trim and accessory library, keeping it up to date
• Coordinate the Ambela sample room, ensuring all samples are accessible when required
• Assist the Garment Technologist and Product Developer in preparing samples for fit sessions. Review samples prior to fitting for adherence to the Tech Pack
• Weekly updating of the Ambela critical path tracker. Work with our garment and trim suppliers to retrieve dates on when samples are expected, communicating any issues to the team
• Communicate with our overseas garment factories on a daily basis, following up on samples, fabric and trim submissions
• Sending of parcels to suppliers and recording costs
• Assist with quality inspections at our UK warehouse, recording any faults or failures
• Update in-house documents such as Supplier and Packaging manuals
• Support with photoshoots when required

Ideal Candidate

• A Fashion, Clothing or Product Development degree (or similar), or up to 2 years’ industry experience
• Strong organisational skills, with an attention to detail
• Strong time-management skills; able to prioritise tasks and a willingness to be flexible
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
• Able to work in person, Monday to Friday, from our Cardiff office
