Overview
In this hands-on Maintenance Engineer role, you’ll safeguard equipment reliability and efficiency across our Swindon site. You’ll perform planned and reactive maintenance on refrigeration storage cabinets and production gear, diagnosing faults and reducing downtime. You’ll collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to drive safe operations and continuous improvement. This position offers exposure to temperature-controlled equipment in a regulated pharmaceutical setting and opportunities to shape plant performance. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment that values practical problem-solving and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations
- Provide planned and reactive maintenance across refrigeration storage cabinets and production equipment
- Conduct fault finding and root cause analysis to resolve issues quickly
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to maximize plant performance
Key requirements
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills
- Experience with fault finding, repair, and preventative maintenance
- Ability to diagnose problems and work under pressure
- Good health and safety understanding
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
