Maintenance Engineer w ill be responsible for ensuring that all machinery, equipment and systems are operating efficiently and effectively to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.Key Duties:Carry out routine and unplanned maintenance work and respond to equipment faults;Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and machinery and arrange procurement of fixtures, fittings and components as required;Conduct quality inspections on jobs;Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment;Monitor and control maintenance costs;Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs;Work closely with Senior Management to improve health and safety policies and procedures;Work as part of a team to ensure the continuous flow of production and operations;Criteria:Time-served Mechanical Engineer or Degree qualified in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in a mechanical maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong practical experience with mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumaticsBasic working knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, CNC, or PC-controlled equipment desirable (mechanical focus remains key)Able to work independently, manage workload effectively, and prioritise maintenance activitiesProactive, reliable team player with flexibility to support business needs when required
