Product Manager

SFIA 5 Product Manager | Central Government | £450 p/d Inside IR35 | Newcastle Hybrid | Gov Experience Essential

We are looking for an Extremely Strong SFIA 5 Product Manager for a high-profile Central Government programme.

This is a critical product role – you will own the product vision, backlog and roadmap in a complex, user-centred, GDS environment. We need someone who can hit the ground running.

Role: SFIA 5 Product Manager

Duration: 05/10/2026 – 31/12/2026

Location: Newcastle – 1x per sprint (every 2 weeks) on-site, rest remote

Clearance: BPSS

What you must have:

• Extremely strong Product Management background – this is not a junior role
• Proven Central Government experience – ESSENTIAL – you must have worked in large-scale Government digital service
• Expert backlog management, prioritisation, roadmap planning and stakeholder management
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams (Designers, Devs, Delivery Managers, UCD)
• Confident managing senior stakeholders and competing priorities in a complex policy area
• SFIA 5 level autonomy – able to own product outcomes

Nice to have:

• Experience with Tax / Benefits / Compliance services
