Delegated Authority Producing Broker

Overview

As Senior Producer in the delegated authority division, you will originate and win new DA business from MGAs, Coverholders, brokers and clients, while growing existing relationships. You will set your own business development strategy, negotiate and place Binding Authorities and Lineslips, and represent the firm at industry events. You’ll collaborate across technical, operations, compliance and claims teams to onboard facilities and design innovative placement solutions. You’ll report to the CEO and contribute to a fast-growing, independent broker.

Responsibilities

• Originate and win new delegated authority business from MGAs, Coverholders, brokers and clients
• Grow and manage existing client relationships
• Set and execute the business development strategy for DA
• Negotiate and place Binding Authorities, Lineslips and delegated underwriting arrangements (plus reinsurance)
• Represent the company at market meetings and industry events
• Collaborate with technical, operations, compliance and claims teams to onboard facilities/programmes
• Design innovative placement solutions for clients

Key requirements

• Strong track record of broking delegated authority business in the London Market with a profitable book of new business
• Established network across Lloyds syndicates, company markets, MGAs, Coverholders and capacity providers
• Deep knowledge of Binding Authorities, Lineslips and facilities; understanding of Lloyds delegated authority processes and governance
• Experience negotiating with London and international markets; solid grasp of FCA conduct standards
• Entrepreneurial, self-driven approach with ability to spot and convert opportunities
• ACII, or progress towards professional qualifications, preferred
• Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
