Network Engineer – Prop Trading

A London trading firm is hiring a Network Engineer to run and develop its global network estate.

Broad infrastructure role, not a latency specialism. You’ll own the networks behind the business, from offices and datacentres to the connectivity carrying market data and order flow. Parts of it are latency sensitive, but the job is keeping a stable, well-designed network the trading business can rely on.

The role

• Network design, build and support across offices and datacentres
• Routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing
• Market data and multicast distribution
• Performance and latency analysis
• Automation of config, monitoring and change

You’ll need

• Financial services or trading background
• Some latency sensitive exposure, not a career in the microseconds
• Linux and Python
