Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in the design, delivery, and successful execution of complex building services projects from concept through to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and delivery of complex MEP projects across multiple building sectors.
- Produce high-quality technical designs, calculations, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and industry best practice.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Manage project programmes, budgets, resource allocation, and change control processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and graduates.
- Participate in client meetings and confidently communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support business development activities and contribute to maintaining strong client relationships.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Essential Requirements
- Proven ability to build and manage client relationships effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and confidently.
- Experience mentoring and supporting engineers while contributing to successful project delivery.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, schedules, and change control procedures.
- Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership would be advantageous.
- Degree or diploma in an engineering discipline (BSc/BEng, HND, or HNC).
- Significant experience delivering complex MEP design projects across a range of building types.
- Strong understanding of relevant electrical engineering codes, standards, regulations, and best practice.
- Proficiency in engineering design software, including Amtech, AutoCAD , or similar packages.
