Cyber Security Engineer – CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Microsoft Security

A leading international law firm is seeking a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer to join its newly established Security Operations team.
The role will help implement and maintain security controls across the firm’s infrastructure while strengthening its incident-response capability and supporting its transition towards a Zero Trust operating model.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer and optimise CrowdStrike, including EDR policies and SIEM rule tuning
- Monitor security alerts and lead or support incident-response investigations
- Conduct root-cause analysis and develop incident-response runbooks
- Support network security across Firewalls, WAF, VPN, DDoS protection and IDS/IPS
- Work with infrastructure teams on NAC, segmentation and lateral-movement controls
- Administer security controls across Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune and Conditional Access
- Support MFA, SSO, PAM, MDM and MAM security
- Conduct vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation
- Work with penetration-testing partners to prioritise and resolve vulnerabilities
- Support the firm’s ISO 27001 and CIS Controls programmes
Required experience:
- Strong hands-on CrowdStrike EDR/Falcon experience
- Security incident investigation and response
- Network and perimeter security experience
- Microsoft identity and endpoint security knowledge
- Vulnerability management and remediation
- Understanding of frameworks including ISO 27001, CIS or NIST
Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ISE, Mimecast, Menlo Security or email DLP platforms would be advantageous. Security certifications are welcomed but are not essential.
