Software Engineer (Full-Stack, PHP/Python)

Build critical SaaS platforms that empower enforcement, permitting and environmental compliance at scale. We handle millions of real-time transactions, ANPR feeds, integrations and automated workflows—and we need an engineer who loves collaborating at scale.

What You’ll Build & Drive

• Scalable SaaS Ecosystem: Enhance and scale our products and ecosystems handling complex data lifecycles and automations.
• High-Throughput Integrations: Build robust APIs and microservices connecting internal and external services, mobile apps, and third-party payment gateways.
• Performance & Reliability: Deep-dive into application bottlenecks, optimise database queries, and improve customer experience.
• Tooling & Automation: Level up our lifecycle, build pipelines (Vite, npm, Node), AI tooling, testing, and deployment processes.
• Backend Core: Strong proficiency in PHP, Python, and modern RESTful API design.
• Containerisation & Cloud Architecture: Experience with containerisation (Docker) and cloud environments (Google Cloud), relational databases, and handling distributed systems at scale.
• Clean Code Philosophy: Strong foundation in SOLID design principles, unit testing, and microservices architecture. Mobile API integration is a big plus.

This role is based in Exeter. It is offered on a hybrid basis but you must be within a reasonable commute to our offices.
