We are looking for an experienced and proactive Quality Assurance Manager to join our Capital Projects team in Tidworth on an initial 12-month maternity cover contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a quality professional to play a key role in supporting the Capital Projects Team, ensuring robust quality assurance, compliance and continuous improvement across our operations.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will develop and maintain a comprehensive suite of project-related documentation and provide assurance that our activities comply with applicable legislation, regulations, contractual requirements, accepted business practices and relevant standards.
You will also lead audits, oversee the management of non-conformances, support ISO certification activity and work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to identify risks and drive improvements.
The role will initially offer a hybrid working arrangement, with two days per week working from home, alongside time at our Tidworth location.
While this position is offered as a 12-month maternity cover, there is potential for the role to become permanent, subject to business need and individual performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of the Acceptance into Use (AiU)/Service process, ensuring compliance with key legal requirements and appropriate collation of statutory documentation.
- Supervise the CPT Compliance Coordinator in delivering the AiU process and other quality-related activities.
- Support and deliver the company audit programmes, including leading multi-functional audits from planning through to reporting and action management.
- Lead the management of non-conformances, including root cause analysis and reviewing the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Work with the Head of Quality to embed the principles of ISO standards and quality management across the Capital Projects Team.
- Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives through the use of appropriate tools, techniques and training.
- Support the Quality Team in facilitating the ISO certification programme for the Capital Works division.
- Conduct assurance activities, including inspections, monitoring and sampling, to ensure contractual, legal and statutory requirements are being met.
- Work with Project Managers to identify and manage quality risks.
- Lead the evaluation and reporting of subcontractor performance in relation to quality and compliance.
- Ensure compliant project record keeping within the appropriate business systems.
- Support key Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Manage the lessons learned process, including facilitating sessions and maintaining appropriate records.
About You
You will be an experienced quality professional with a proven ability to lead audits, work across multidisciplinary teams and operate effectively within a dynamic environment.
Experience & Knowledge
- IRCA-certified Lead Auditor or Quality Management qualification.
- Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplined teams as a Lead Auditor.
- Experience working in a quality management role.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels.
- Sound working knowledge of current ISO management system standards.
- Experience developing and working with integrated management systems compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Facilities Management experience, including hard and soft services or construction industry experience preferred.
You will bring a practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyse information and produce meaningful trend analysis for senior management. You will be equally comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team or taking the lead when required.
A comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio and MS Project, is also required.
