What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage the home, ensuring smooth operations, staff development, and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as Safeguarding Lead, prioritising children’s safety and welfare.
  • Deliver child-centred, trauma-informed care and support children’s independence, education, and wellbeing.
  • Oversee admissions, transitions, care planning, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Build strong relationships with families, social workers, schools, and external agencies.
  • Drive continuous improvement, audits, and compliance with all statutory requirements.

About You:

Essential Experience:

  • 5+ years working with children in residential care, including 2+ years in a supervisory, Deputy Manager, or management role.
  • Experience in LD (Learning Disabilities) or EDB (Emotional, Developmental, or Behavioural) settings.
  • Proven track record of achieving at least a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating as a Registered Manager or senior leadership team member.

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent, fully recognised).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
