This team in Exeter is welcoming a new local owner to the practice and is now looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join its growing team. The practice offers an opportunity for a vet to become part of a supportive environment where high standards of patient care are central, while individual clinical interests and professional development are encouraged.
The role would suit both an experienced Veterinary Surgeon and someone who is keen to continue developing their skills within a collaborative practice. The team is committed to supporting its vets in building a role around the areas of veterinary medicine they particularly enjoy, with plenty of scope to develop existing interests and explore new ones.
The practice benefits from an excellent setting close to Exeter, while also providing easy access to the Devon countryside and the coast. It offers a great combination of convenient city links and the opportunity to enjoy the wider Devon area outside of work.
The successful candidate will join an established team comprising three Veterinary Surgeons, including a vet with a particular interest and extensive caseload in exotics, alongside three RVNs, an SVN, two Veterinary Care Assistants and two Client Care Assistants. The arrival of the new Vet owner provides additional leadership and support as the practice continues to grow.
The practice is well equipped to manage a varied caseload and support the team in delivering high-quality clinical care. Facilities include laparoscopic surgical equipment, X-ray, ultrasound and a good range of in-house laboratory equipment, giving the veterinary team access to the diagnostic and surgical tools they need.
The position is full‑time, working 40 hours per week, with no out‑of‑hours commitment. Saturday duties are shared on a rota, helping the team maintain a positive work‑life balance while continuing to provide a comprehensive service to clients and their pets.
The practice is seeking an MRCVS who is confident, compassionate and enjoys working collaboratively. A commitment to excellent patient and client care is important, as is a proactive attitude towards clinical development and a willingness to play a part in the continued growth of the practice.
In return, the successful Veterinary Surgeon will receive a salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience, alongside a supportive team, strong clinical facilities, no OOH and a balanced Saturday rota.
