Service Engineer

Are you an experienced Refrigeration, Air Conditioning Engineer or vehicle mechanic with experience working on commercial refrigeration, vehicle systems, or transport refrigeration equipment?

Our client is a well-established provider of transport refrigeration equipment is looking for an experienced Mobile Service Engineer to join their team.

This is a hands on role suited to an engineer who enjoys working independently, visiting customer sites, and keeping equipment operating reliably. You will work on a range of vehicle powered refrigeration systems, carrying out preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs, installations and commissioning, while ensuring customers receive a professional and responsive service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, diagnose, and repair transport refrigeration systems
• Carry out installations, commissioning, and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and refrigeration faults
• Maintain accurate job records and complete relevant paperwork using PDA systems
• Manage van stock, tools and equipment effectively

Who They’re Looking For:

• Experience with electrical systems, including three phase
• Mechanical experience with engines, compressors, and hydraulics
• F Gas 2079 and refrigerant handling qualifications – desirable
• Refrigeration fault finding and diagnostic experience – desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• Participation in an on call rota, including nights and weekends
