Maintenance Manager

A highly successful division of a global manufacturing organisation supplying complex components to the aerospace, automotive & high technology has a new vacancy for a Maintenance Manager. Joining at a time of investment and company growth, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance function, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimising downtime and maintaining a safe, efficient and productive manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Lead, manage and develop the maintenance team.
• Ensure all plant, machinery and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
• Develop and implement effective planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.
• Identify opportunities to improve machinery efficiency, reliability and productivity.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with all relevant health & safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the maintenance budget and control expenditure.
• Support engineering projects, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with other leadership team colleagues to achieve site objectives.
• Coach, mentor and develop the maintenance team.

The Person

• Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager or similar senior maintenance role.
• Experience managing and developing maintenance teams.
• A strong understanding of PPM, reactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
• A hands-on, practical approach combined with strong management capability
