People Support Administrator

Location: Newcastle

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £24,125 per year

Hours: 35 hours per week

Introduction

Our client is a large organisation based in Newcastle and is looking for a reliable and organised People Support Administrator to join their busy People team.

Objectives

As a People Support Administrator, you will provide efficient and accurate administrative support to the People team, helping to ensure employee information, correspondence and payroll-related data are processed correctly and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and updating people-related data accurately
  • Preparing and issuing letters and other employee communications
  • Responding to employee queries through the People Support system
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries from internal and external contacts
  • Providing accurate and timely information to payroll
  • Uploading and maintaining documents within the People system
  • Supporting the wider People team with general administrative tasks
  • Managing multiple administrative tasks and priorities in a busy working environment

Requirements – What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an administrative or people-focused role
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work calmly under pressure
  • Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • Self-motivated approach with the ability to use their own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a People/HR environment

Working Hours

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday to Sunday, with weekend working required
  • Shifts will be scheduled between 8:00am and 6:00pm
  • Permanent, full-time position
