Are you a Level 2 NDT Inspector with hands-on Ultrasonic Testing experience looking for a role where you can develop your technical capability further?
An established advanced manufacturing business near York is looking for an NDT Inspector to join its Quality and Inspection team. This is a hands-on position where you’ll play an important part in ensuring manufactured components meet demanding quality and customer standards.
You’ll join an experienced team in a days-based role, with the opportunity to broaden your knowledge across advanced inspection techniques, metrology and specialist manufacturing processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out Ultrasonic Testing in line with approved techniques and procedures
Completing visual and dimensional inspection of manufactured components
Ensuring inspection documentation and job cards are completed accurately
Working to internal and customer NDT processes and quality requirements
Supporting Production and Quality teams to resolve inspection and NDT issues
Helping develop new NDT techniques and inspection methods
Supporting technical measurement activities, including CMM and 3D scanning
Maintaining NDT equipment, reference pieces and consumables
Sharing knowledge and supporting the development of colleagues
Contributing to continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation
Supporting quality, regulatory and accreditation requirements
There are two key requirements for this opportunity:
Level 2 NDT qualification or equivalent recognised certification
Hands-on Ultrasonic Testing experience
You’ll also need to be comfortable working accurately to technical procedures, specifications and quality requirements within a manufacturing or similarly process-driven environment.
Experience with composites, CMM inspection, 3D scanning, metrology, GD&T, engineering drawings or writing NDT techniques would be useful, but not essential. Training and development can be provided for the right person.
We’re particularly interested in understanding the NDT work you’ve carried out, the Ultrasonic Testing techniques you’ve used and the types of components or materials you’ve inspected.
