Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for multiple Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers. This role would suit either an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, or a genuinely Multi-Skilled Engineer with experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, automated warehousing, logistics, or production environments. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities across a range of production and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• PLC fault finding
• Working with inverters and control panels
• Maintenance of production and packaging machinery
• Working on conveyors, pumps, motors, bearings, and gearboxes
• Continuous improvement projects
• Root cause analysis
• Reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability
• Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained

Skills & Experience Required

• NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent
• Maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing
• Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled background
• Strong fault-finding skills
• Experience working on production machinery
• PLC fault-finding experience advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
