Hays are recruiting a Site Supervisor on behalf of an N.I. based Civil & Construction Engineering Contractor on a permanent basis to work on their Northern Ireland Water projects due to continued ongoing success and growth within their Civil Engineering team.Your new employer has an excellent pipeline of major works across the UK and Ireland and boasts an enviable order book of live sites across Northern Ireland which this position will cover. Your new role
Working primarily within the NIW Framework, you will play a key role on site, supporting the delivery of projects through the supervision of direct labour, subcontractors and daily site activities while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. There will be the opportunity to continue developing professionally with the support of an experienced Framework role will vary and cover multiple sites across the Northern Ireland region, helping to deliver critical infrastructure projects that ensure the long-term sustainability of water networks and services. You will be involved in live clean water and wastewater schemes, including pipeline installations, pumping stations, treatment plants and rehabilitation works across Northern Site Supervisor, you will work closely with Project Managers to coordinate daily operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. You will be responsible for supervising site teams and subcontractors, monitoring progress, maintaining site records, carrying out site inspections and ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards. Preference will be given to candidates who have supervised work within water, utilities or civil engineering locations will vary throughout the province, so you may be required to travel across multiple locations throughout Northern Ireland, with a company vehicle and fuel card provided to facilitate travel.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered successful, applicants must be willing to travel throughout Northern Ireland. Further to this, you will ideally hold an HNC/HND, degree, or other industry-related qualification with relevant site-based experience within the civil engineering, utilities or water and IT skills, including MS Office, Word and Excel, are advantageous. You will have experience supervising site activities, coordinate subcontractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures. Experience completing site paperwork, permits, inspections and daily records would also be will develop professionally and personally as a successful Site Supervisor with an established company that provides steady and ongoing projects. You will receive an attractive salary alongside a well-rounded benefits package.A full driving licence is essential, and you will ideally have previous experience delivering civil engineering schemes, preferably within the water sector. CSR/CSCS and other relevant site safety certifications would be advantageous.
