The rate of pay is from £13.50 per hour.
Overtime is available at this site after working 40 hours and is paid £15.89 per hour.
This role offers 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday rotation of mornings, afternoons and nights with shifts starting 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 22:00-06:00 rotating weekly.
Your Time at Work
As a General Food Production Operative your duties would include:
- Working as part of a team in a fast-paced packing environment.
- Some heavy lifting and repetitive work is involved -Erecting boxes
- Packing products into boxes (frozen, ambient and hot)
- Loading hoppers with raw ingredients
- Unboxing fats at the start of the process
- Applying lids to pails with the finished product in
- Cleaning duties
All breaks will be unpaid, but colleagues will receive paid time for all operational procedures.
Our Perfect Worker
Our ideal Food Production Operative is a quick-thinking team player as well as a fast learner. Some manual handling will be involved and so a certain level of physical fitness is required.
Experience as a Food Production Operative, Warehouse or Factory Operative is desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided.
