About Our Nursery

Supporting our local community is very important to us. We regularly visit a nearby residential home for dementia patients and actively fund raise for various local charities, nurturing a strong sense of community and belonging in our children.

We love helping our children connect with nature through our wonderful outdoor spaces, which provide a rich learning environment full of opportunities to explore, play, and discover the natural world.

Impact Lives, with a Schedule That Works for You

Clowne’s Purpose

To give children healthy foundations in fantastic settings, helping them build the confidence and resilience that will set them up for success later in life.

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you’ll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.

You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan…. That will soon get completely derailed though… Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!

Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn’t stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

You are Level 2 or above qualified or have experience in an early years setting, and you’re looking for a role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.

You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.

You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.

What You’ll Need

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years or relevant early years experience

  • Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5, is advantageous

  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable
