Job Description:

As Personal Assistant to the Director of Economy & Skills, you will provide high-level administrative and organisational support while working closely with the PA to the Executive Director, who will oversee and provide guidance for the role. Your responsibilities will include complex diary and inbox management, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking meeting notes, and handling a variety of ad hoc administrative tasks. You will be supporting senior leaders through a period of organisational change, requiring professionalism, discretion and the ability to manage sensitive information. This is a full-time role working 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours between 8am and 6pm and a hybrid working arrangement.

To be successful, you will have a strong PA background gained within either the public or private sector and be confident in supporting senior leadership teams. You will be highly organised, dependable and responsive, with excellent communication and judgement. You’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities, working in an evolving environment and handling sensitive matters with discretion. Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, with experience of SharePoint, Microsoft Lists or Copilot being advantageous. You will be proactive, resilient, adaptable and open to the opportunity becoming permanent. The ability to build effective working relationships and work closely with colleagues at all levels is key.
