Hire Coordinator /AdministratorHavant£27,000 – £30,000 Full-Time | Office Based


A Hire Coordinator is an organised person, enjoys office based customer service, has excellent administration skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment – Does this sound like the perfect opportunity for you? A well-established, local business specialising in technical product solutions is looking for a Hire Coordinator to join the team. You will take ownership of customer hire requirements from initial enquiry through to off-hire, coordinating equipment, logistics, engineers and customer accounts. This is a varied, high-impact role where organisation, communication and quick thinking are essential. You’ll play a key part in delivering excellent customer service while helping maintain strong fleet utilisation.


Duties & Responsibilities include



  • Manage customer hire enquiries and provide proactive support throughout each hire.

  • Prepare accurate quotations covering equipment, delivery, fuel and third-party costs.

  • Identify opportunities to introduce relevant products and services to existing customers.

  • Coordinate availability, preparation, delivery, installation, extensions and off-hire collections.

  • Monitor fleet availability and maintenance to support utilisation above 75%.

  • Coordinate servicing, inspections, callouts and repairs with Service Coordinators.

  • Evaluate supplier quotations, raise purchase orders and review third-party invoices.

  • Maintain accurate customer, pricing, asset and contract information within the CRM.


Skills & Knowledge Required



  • Experience in administration or account management within a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in hire, equipment rental, logistics or engineering would be advantageous.

  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach.

  • Confidence using CRM systems and managing documentation.

  • Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help customers.


Working hours


Full time – Monday to Friday Office hours – 40 hours per week
