SEN Teaching Assistant – Selly Oak

Winner Education is working with a SEN secondary school in the Selly Oak area who are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing tailored support and helping them develop both academically and personally.
What You’ll Do:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs
Support students with their learning, development and engagement in lessons
Help create a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment
Encourage students to build confidence, independence and positive relationships
Support with behaviour management and emotional regulation where required
Work closely with teachers and the wider school team to meet individual student needs
Assist students both inside and outside of the classroom
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK secondary school
Experience supporting students with SEN is highly desirable
A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
The ability to build positive relationships with students
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Relevant Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification is desirable but not essential
