As an Electrical Installation Teacher, you’ll bring your industry knowledge, practical experience, and professional insights into the classroom and workshop, helping learners gain the skills, confidence, and behaviours they need to succeed in the modern electrical industry.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who:
- Significant industry experience working as a qualified electrician with the ability to bring current industry knowledge and practical expertise into the learning environment.
- Holds a relevant Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification.
- Is committed to safe working practices and high-quality standards.
- Enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting others to learn and develop.
- Can communicate technical information in a clear and engaging way.
- Has knowledge of Electrical Installation qualifications, including City & Guilds 2365 and 5357.
Additional experience that’s beneficial
As we continue to grow and develop our curriculum, experience in any of the following areas would be welcomed:
- Solar PV installation
- Battery storage systems
- Electric Vehicle (EV) charging point installation
- Curriculum development and planning
- Learner assessment and quality assurance

Levelling Up Premium
Eligible further education teachers in their first five years of teaching may be able to claim up to £6,000. They should have a teaching qualification; be working towards a teaching qualification; or intend to do so in the next 12 months.
