We are working with a well‑resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Braintree that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
• Willing to support personal care where needed
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
