I am working with a secondary school in Tower Hamlets seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant. This role is perfectly suited to an aspiring Maths teacher looking to develop their skills and gain meaningful school experience ahead of a PGCE or other teacher training pathway.
The Role:
- Supporting the delivery of engaging and effective Maths lessons
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students of varying abilities
- Assisting with lesson planning and classroom activities
- Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment
- Encouraging student confidence, participation, and academic progress
What The School Are Looking For:
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject (2:1 or above preferred)
- A clear ambition to pursue a career in teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
- Any prior experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential
