Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in Twickenham? Teach Plus are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school that is looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants and Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team on an ad-hoc basis, with full and part-time opportunities available from ASAP.This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who wants to gain further experience across a primary school setting while making a positive difference to pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing.

This Teaching Assistant opportunity would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant or Graduate Teaching Assistant who is looking to develop their experience within primary education.Higher Level Teaching Assistants are also encouraged to apply for ad-hoc work covering classes in the teachers absence.
Job Responsibilities
- Support teachers with the delivery of engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum
- Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, including children with SEND
- Assist pupils with their learning, development and classroom activities while encouraging independence
- Support positive behaviour management and contribute to a calm, inclusive and purposeful learning environment
- Prepare classroom resources and learning materials in line with lesson objectives
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff to support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Cover classes in the teachers absence (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
- SEND experience desired
- Minimum 3 months UK experience working in a childcare setting
- Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
