As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed.
The Role – Teaching Assistant
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Assist with classroom preparation and organisation of learning resources.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND where required.
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
- Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Requirements – Teaching Assistant
To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role, you will need:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or within a school setting is desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring and proactive approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
