Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in Rushden and the surrounding areas? Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and support schools across the local area on a supply basis. We work with a range of SEN, specialist, primary, secondary and alternative provision settings, giving you the opportunity to find work that suits your experience, availability and preferences.
The Role
- Providing 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with additional needs
- Supporting learning and engagement inside and outside of the classroom
- Helping pupils manage their behaviour and emotions
- Following individual support plans and EHCP strategies
- Supporting pupils with communication and social development
- Working closely with teachers and wider school staff
- Providing a calm, consistent and positive presence for pupils
We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- a positive and proactive approach
- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils
- Confidence supporting behaviour and additional needs
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
You don’t necessarily need to have worked in a school previously – relevant experience from care, support work, youth work or other settings can also be considered.
