About the job Daily Nanny | Northwood, Greater London

Position Type: Full-time, live-out nanny, sole chargeLocation: Northwood, HA6 (30 minutes from Baker Street on the Metropolitan line)Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 gross per annum, depending on experienceSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pmChildren: One, a baby girl, six weeks oldStart Date: ASAP

A family based in Northwood are seeking an experienced full-time nanny for their baby girl, who is currently six weeks old. This is a live-out position, Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm.

The family have night cover already sorted through a midwife and a doula, so the nanny’s remit is the daytime. Days will be led by the baby to begin with, feeding, naps and settling, then developing into a proper routine with classes, walks, playgroups and the sort of active, engaged days that build up as she grows. The nanny would take on everything connected to the baby, including her laundry, bottles, sterilising and keeping her spaces in order.

The parents are looking for someone who is genuinely confident with newborns and early years. As the baby grows, they would like the role to grow with her, so this suits a nanny looking for a position with some longevity rather than a short newborn stint. Someone warm and kind, who can support mum and work with her collaboratively during this time.

Northwood is quiet and green, with plenty of outdoor space nearby, and it is well connected into central London on the Metropolitan line, roughly 30 minutes from Baker Street. There are no pets in the home. The family would ideally like a driver, as a car makes local classes and outings much simpler.

Requirements

  • Solid nanny experience with newborns and babies
  • Confident and proactive with routine, feeding and sleep
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Paediatric first aid
  • Contactable references from previous childcare roles
  • Full driving licence preferred but not mandatory
