About the Global Engagement Team
The Global Engagement team works with colleges and colleagues at the University to contribute to the successful planning, development, and delivery of new and existing international collaborative activities under the new Global Engagement Strategy. Our primary focuses are international mobility, internationalisation of the student experience and the provision of global opportunities for students.
About the Role
As a Global Engagement Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the development and management of the University’s UK and international academic partnerships. Working within the Partnership Unit, you will help build strong, effective relationships that support the University’s mission, values and strategic ambitions for global engagement.
You will work closely with colleagues across the University, including Colleges, Schools and Institutes, as well as a diverse range of external partners and stakeholders. Your role will involve researching markets, providing valuable intelligence, undertaking due diligence and coordinating the day-to-day administration of partnership activities to ensure relationships are well managed and successful.
You will also provide professional and responsive support to our UK and international partners, helping to ensure a positive partnership experience and contributing to the continued growth and development of our global network.
Working alongside the Partnership Liaison Manager, you will also support wider Global Engagement activity, including international study visits, partnership and networking events, helping to strengthen connections and create opportunities for collaboration around the world.
Please note the start date for this role is January 2027.
The anticipated interview date is 19th November 2026.
About You
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with experience of supporting partnership activity within a Higher Education environment. You will have a strong understanding of collaborative provision and UK and Transnational Education (TNE) partnerships, alongside knowledge of relevant OfS and QAA requirements.
You will be confident managing multiple priorities simultaneously, with the ability to handle tasks of varying scale and complexity while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Experience of supporting the development and implementation of systems, processes and procedures within an education setting will be highly valuable.
Building positive and effective relationships will be at the heart of this role, so you will be an excellent communicator with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and client relationship management. You will be comfortable working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, developing trust and providing responsive, professional support.
Above all, you will be collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to organise competing demands and contribute positively to the continued development of the University’s UK and global partnership activity.
