Set to start on the 14th of September, this full-time position offers an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension, working 36 hours per week.

What you will do

  • Conduct specialist assessments of needs, including risk management, to offer expert advice and suitable solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, and external agencies to assess needs and develop action plans.
  • Support and guide junior staff and students in developing their skills and knowledge.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service responses.
  • Balance needs and risks with rights, promoting positive outcomes and independence for individuals.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns in collaboration with investigating officers.

Role Specific Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Essential: Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with HCPC.
  • Experience in arranging specialist equipment and major adaptations.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Desirable: Experience working in a Local Authority setting.
