Job Summary

Senior Full-Stack Engineer | Node.js / AWS Serverless | Bristol | £60k + 15% bonus

Building the next generation of a major financial services platform’s core client journeys — the kind of company most people in the UK have either used directly or know someone who has. This isn’t a legacy-maintenance role: you’d be working across three repos spanning React frontends and full AWS serverless backends, with real ownership from investigation through to production.

What you’d be doing:

• Building and maintaining features across high-traffic financial transfer journeys
• Working full-stack: React frontends, AWS Lambda BFF layers, infrastructure as code
• Owning issues end-to-end — not just writing code, but seeing it through
• Flagging tech debt and driving CI/CD improvements rather than waiting to be asked

What you’ll need:

• Strong Node.js + TypeScript, with hands-on AWS Lambda and API Gateway experience
• CDK or SST for infrastructure as code
• DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, SSM Parameter Store
• Solid testing discipline (Vitest or similar) and comfort with GitLab CI
• Monorepo experience and confidence with OAuth/token-based auth flows

Nice to have: React + TypeScript, Zod, TanStack Query, Playwright, feature flagging (LaunchDarkly), contract testing (Pact), financial services background.

Permanent, hybrid (2 days a week on-site in Bristol), 15% bonus plus benefits.
