Mechanical Fitter – Full Time – Dungannon

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business.

This role will involve the mechanical assembly, installation and fitting of large-scale industrial machinery and equipment. You will be working from engineering drawings and technical instructions to build, assemble and install mechanical components to a high standard.

The Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, your responsibilities will include:

• Mechanical assembly and fitting of large industrial machinery and equipment
• Working from engineering drawings, assembly instructions and technical specifications
• Fitting mechanical components including shafts, bearings, motors, gearboxes and other assemblies
• Using a range of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
• Carrying out installation, alignment and adjustment of mechanical components
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical faults where required
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the required quality standards
• Working safely and following all health and safety procedures

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Machine Fitter, Assembly Fitter or similar
• Experience working on large industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment or heavy mechanical assemblies
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools
• Experience fitting components such as bearings, shafts, motors, gearboxes and mechanical assemblies
• A strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a teamThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join an established engineering environment and work on large-scale machinery and equipment.

Salary: £30/hour
