No previous refuse and recycling experience is required. n To help you settle into the role, you will receive a fully paid 5-day induction, giving you the opportunity to: n n Have your driving skills assessed in a supportive environment. n Receive training specific to the role and vehicles. n Build confidence and gain valuable practical experience. n Learn the routes, procedures and daily responsibilities of the job. n Work alongside an experienced team n n This makes the position an excellent starting point for newly qualified HGV Class 2 drivers looking to build their experience and develop their career. n Experienced drivers are also very welcome to apply. n Family-Friendly Working Hours n One of the major benefits of this role is the excellent finish time. n You will finish at approximately 2:15pm each day, making this a fantastic opportunity for drivers who have family commitments, school runs or simply want a better work-life balance. n You’ll also be working as part of a friendly, supportive team, where everyone works together to get the job done safely and efficiently. n The Role n As an HGV Class 2 Refuse & Recycling Driver, you will play an important role in keeping the city clean and supporting environmental sustainability. n Your responsibilities will include: n n Safely operating a Class 2 refuse and recycling vehicle. n Completing daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects. n Assisting with the collection of waste and recycling materials. n Loading and unloading recycling boxes and containers. n Pushing and pulling bins weighing up to 25kg. n Using mobile technology to complete operational paperwork and route information. n Supporting other service areas, including recycling and garden waste collections when required. n Maintaining high standards of health, safety and customer service at all times. n n What We’re Looking For n We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced HGV Class 2 drivers. n You will need: n n A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence. n Good knowledge of driver hours, tachograph regulations and road transport legislation. n A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work. n The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. n Good communication and teamwork skills. n A reasonable level of physical fitness, with the ability to safely lift and manoeuvre loads up to 25kg. n A strong commitment to health and safety. n n Just passed your Class 2 test?
