The successful candidate will provide focused senior-level capacity across organisational, people, finance, policy, compliance and governance priorities. The post holder will coordinate cross-functional work, maintain momentum, strengthen accountability and support the timely completion of agreed organisational priorities.

The role is designed to complement, rather than duplicate, existing management responsibilities. It will provideadditionalstructure,judgementand follow-through where work spans several functions or requires sustained senior attention.

This is a practical, hands-on delivery role, requiring the post holder to undertake and complete agreed work directly, rather than solely providing oversight or strategic advice.

Given the two-day-per-week commitment, the post holder will work to an agreed and prioritised schedule of deliverables, with clear milestones, completiondatesand escalation arrangements.

Salary: £19,429.80 per annum

Hours of Work: 15hours per week Two days per week, specificarrangements to be agreed on appointment

Length of Contract: Fixed Term 6 months

Essential Criteria:

  • Senior leadership–Experience of at least 3-yearsoperatingat a senior level and coordinating work across more than one organisational function.

  • Project delivery–Demonstrable ability to translate priorities into structured plans,maintainmomentum and bring workstreams to completion.

  • People and finance awareness–Demonstrable understanding of the relationship between people, finance, governance,complianceand organisational risk.

  • Policy and governance–Experience of policy or framework development and of preparing clear information for governance or senior decision-making.

  • Communication–Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.

  • Judgement–Ability toidentifyrisks, resolve barriers, supportdecisionsand escalate appropriately.

  • Collaborative working–Ability to build constructive relationships, work across professional boundaries and avoid duplicating established responsibilities.

DesirableCriteria:

  • Sector context–Knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory expectations or governance within a care,charityor values-led organisation.
