An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to join our client, an established and expanding manufacturing business.
The General Manager will have full strategic, commercial, operational and financial responsibility for the business, playing a pivotal role in driving commercial growth, improving performance and delivering ambitious business objectives.
The successful candidate will provide visible leadership across the business and take ownership of commercial relationships, business performance, ensuring that financial and sales targets are achieved on programme, within budget and to the required quality, safety and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong, visible leadership aligned to the company’s vision and values.
- Developing and executing strategic and business plans, including identifying new market opportunities.
- Driving profitable sales growth and developing strong relationships with key customers.
- Working closely with Operations and Production to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability.
- Overseeing budgeting, planning, costs, resources and operational performance.
- Leading business improvement and process optimisation initiatives.
- Ensuring high standards of health and safety, quality, compliance and best practice.
- Building a high-performing, cohesive team through effective leadership, development and performance management.
- Representing the business with customers and other key stakeholders.
You will be an experienced commercial leader with a strong track record within a manufacturing environment, ideally having personally driven growth and commercial success within an expanding business.
