The Role
VANRATH are recruiting for a Field Sales Representative to join a leading construction materials business.
This is a customer-facing field sales role covering the Fermanagh and Omagh markets, responsible for visiting existing customers and prospective customers to develop relationships, generate new business and increase sales across a range of construction products.
Key Responsibilities
Visit existing customers regularly to maintain and develop strong relationships.
Identify and visit prospective customers to generate new business opportunities.
Develop and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities across the territory.
Meet customers on-site to understand requirements and identify opportunities.
Prepare, issue and follow up on quotations, converting opportunities into orders.
Identify new and untapped markets to support business growth.
Build long-term relationships with customers across the construction sector.
Monitor competitor activity, market pricing and industry trends.
Provide after-sales support and manage customer expectations.
Deal with customer enquiries and complaints effectively.
Maintain accurate CRM records and update sales activity.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure a high level of customer service.
The Person
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in field sales, sales or business development.
A confident and personable approach to visiting customers and prospective customers.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive approach to generating new business.
Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
Full UK driving licence.
Previous experience within construction or building materials would be desirable but is not essential.
