Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work – Care & Learning Team in Birmingham, where your expertise can make a significant difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a Qualified Social Worker who is passionate about child welfare and is committed to providing high-quality support and intervention. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and community organizations to ensure that children’s needs are met and their rights are upheld.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and their families in various settings.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in safeguarding investigations and ensuring the welfare of children is prioritized.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children’s social work, particularly in a care and learning context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a diverse caseload.
